I have the Art of Star Wars page-a-day calendar and I love it.

However, it has one drawback: it doesn't give any context.

There's no information given for who did the art, or when, or what it was for. Some images are instantly recognizable, but I've already come across several images that I've never seen before anywhere. The most memorable being a painting of Han firing from the Falcon ramp, and today's painting of a Tusken. I'd love to know where they came from and who created them.

It's mildly frustrating.

I bet if you scanned them and asked over at darth_artsy, someone might be able to ID them...

Good idea! I shall have to find myself a scanner.

One of the things I adore about SW is the art so it pains me not to have references for this stuff. On the other hand, it's a calendar, not an not an official SW reference guide. But still.

I'll see your Tuskens and raise you a bevy of Obi-Wans from C4. :)
